tall slender well dressed male companion, who reads good books, watches good movies, likes good music, and is passionate about their future (preferably someone in the arts). someone who will make me laugh, take me out for coffee or go to the movies with me. someone who cares about the little things i like and will be able to put up with my strange sense of humor. is that too much to ask for?-__-
baked for like a good 4 hours today. second try at a strawberry pie, and a dozen cupcakes and both were completely from scratch i really love baking. maybe i should have gone to culinary school :l
then i babysat and boy was it exhausting. but i made enough money to buy the canvas and leather backpack from urban outfitters that i want. (am i a hypocrite for wearing leather as a vegetarian?)
so just as i was falling into the laziest most boring summer ever tricia invites me to sleepover yesterday. it started out by picking up her brother from school and taking a trip to sweet avenue bake shop. sweet avenue is a vegan bakery and i swear they have the most delicious cupcakes i have ever tasted (believe me as an avid lover of cupcakes that is a lot). it is also the cutest bakery i have ever seen, decked out in black and pink, and the cupcakes have the most adorable names such as sexy sadie (red velvet), dark side of the moon (vanilla with chocolate frosting), white room (vanilla with vanilla frosting). then we went back to her house and watched trublood and the first sex in the city movie. at midnight we then went to see the second one at garden state mall. i definitely liked it better then the first because it was over all just a more fun movie. it captured the essence of the show which was about 4 girls living in new york, having fun and going on adventures, all while wearing the most fabulous outfits imaginable. whereas i found the first one to be a little bit depressing. i don’t want to give anything away but it was overall a fierce movie (and samantha is hysterical). then this morning we went to udelco (a huge wherehouse thrift store) where i found the most amazing boots in my size for ten dollars. yay! just as i thought i would die of boredom tricia saved me. love her <3
can’t sleep again.. this song seems fitting -__-

one of my favorites on Ratatat’s LP4
a favorite teacher of mine gave me this a while ago. i feel like despite it being about guys its still kinda relevant, and relate able for both guys and girls.
Lester: Aww, man, you made friends with them! See, friendship is the booze they feed you. They want you to get drunk on feeling like you belong.
William: (ruefully) Well, it was fun.
Lester: They made you feel cool. And hey, I met you. You are not cool.
William: I know. Even when I thought I was, I knew I wasn’t.
Lester: That’s because we are uncool! And while women will always be a problem for guys like us, most of the great art in the world is about that very problem. Good looking people have no spine! Their art never lasts! They get the girls, but we’re smarter.
William: I can really see that now.
Lester: Yeah, great art is about conflict and pain and guilt and longing and love disguised as sex, and sex disguised as love… and let’s face it you got a big head start.
William: I’m glad you were home.
Lester: I’m always home. I’m uncool!
William: Me too
Lester: The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we are uncool.
William: I feel better.
Lester: My advice to you. I know you think those guys are your friends, You want to be a true friend to them? Be honest and unmerciful. Your doing great. Call me later if you want, I’m always up.
Sirens of Titan. Oh Vonnegut you never fail to disappoint.
school terribly. i miss my friends. i just want to go back to montclair.
i’ve been home for only about a week and a half, and i’m already bored to death. my friends from home have pretty much ditched me. loneliness is starting to set in. i need someone to save me.
i recently have come to love this song as well as She&Him
- any music or book suggestions?
